Cote de Beaune, Burgundy, France
Old-vine Pinot Noir from the 1er Cru site of Chassagne-Montrachet. Whole cluster pressed, fermented with native yeast in barrel, and aged for one year on its lees in a mixture of new and used oak. Bottled unfiltered with minimal SO2. Rich and regal, with ripe cherries, black plum, earth, spice, and a hearty medium body punching above its weight class. 2017 is an excellent vintage for Burgundy, get it while it lasts!
