100% old-vine Rossesse from the single 'Posau' vineyard within a particularly well suited amphitheater in the hills of Liguria nestled along the French boarder. Organically farmed, whole cluster pressed, fermented with native yeast and rested in large neutral botti. A serious and intense red wine full of fleshy black cherry and plumb, black olives, mulch, earthy, grippy tannins, and 14.5% abv. The Posau site is high elevation and costal, bringing a welcomed lift from the acid structure making it very food friendly while retaining its Italian rusticity. A fun curveball for a Nebbiolo drinker!
