Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, France
A beautiful and approachable Merlot from plots scattered around the famous right bank appellation of Saint-Émilion. These old-vine grapes are grown on clay and limestone soils, then fermented in a combination of concrete and stainless steel vats, retaining a fresh dark fruited vibrancy and earth from whole cluster pressing. Purple plumbs, black cherry, mulch, and supple acidity to bring it all in balance. The way Merlot should always be made.
