Santa Clara Valley, California, USA
This is a new release for winemaker/surfer/LA resident Quinn Hobbs of Hollow Wines. Mission is a red grape of Spanish decent brought over to the Americas by Catholic missionaries for the use of sacramental wine. So much of it was planted in what is now California that it was known as the 'Los Angeles Grape' during the 19th century. It is a rarity that Quinn can present American history in a can form, and this little light and delicious red smells like cherry cola, tastes like watermelon with its rind intact, and refreshes the palate with lots of acidity and light rose tea grip. Get it while it lasts!
