Mendocino, California, USA
A blend of 80% Pinot Noir from Mendocino, and 20% Chardonnay from Sonoma Coast, fermented in steel and aged on its lees for 6 months before disgorgement with mesh filtration upon bottling (vegan). The Pinot Noir has a little over one day off skin contact for extra color and texture, expressing fresh strawberry, peach skins, and lively acidity with no brioche or bready notes at all. The costal proximity of the vineyards give this beautiful dry rosé a touch of welcomed salinity to wet your whistle, plus the winemaker Pata lives down the road in Venice and totally gets the modern Cali palate. Gotta dig it.
